Yes! The way to go back would depend on the school that you dropped out of.

If people drop out they may be able to go back if they're not too old. If they're over 18 (I think - and it could be different in different states) they need to get a GED. GED students go to classes for a certain number of weeks and then take the test.

The trouble is when kids drop out they often get so stressed out in life after dropping out they don't feel up to doing school work. It can take a long time for a young person to get up the motivation to take the GED classes, and even then the test isn't always all that easy for some kids who weren't the best students in school anyway.

I wish the law would change so that young people would not be allowed to drop out of school at all. Dropping out takes so much away from people, and I don't just mean the chance to attend the prom and graduation. It takes away from their self-esteem, from their youth, and from their future. High school graduates today can have a hard enough time building a future if they don't go to college. Drop-outs usually face horrendous disadvantages.

If someone has already dropped out and wants to go back the first people to call would be the high school guidance office where he/she went. They could give advice on what to do next. I hope if someone is planning to go back to school they stay motivated and do it. I hope if someone is thinking of dropping out they just tell themselves they don't have much longer and hang in there until graduation.

I have no clue were you live. But I live in an area that majorly employs engineers and contractors. Your time wasted in highschool could be used trying to get throu a community college. I thought all my friends were crazy when they droped out. One is making 40k a year( 1 year after dropping). The other is in a state college that I want to get into. Those two do not even have a GED. Unless your enrolled in career or tech program at your highschool, You are wasting your time more than likely. I would suggest trying to enroll in a community college and drop high school if you can bare with it. Ia graduated with NHS, NTHS as well as a 3.8 GPA in highschool. and let me tell you that right now I am beating myself up over letting the tuition increase nearly 20k more during the time I was in highschool. So think about it seriously. ask yourself If completeing is gonna do anything for you in the next 5 years. If not drop it .

School isn't for everyone, you should be able to go back, maybe you could do an apprenticeship. Depends on the country you live in. If one day you're unhappy because you're stuck doing physical labor, you may regret the decision. But hey, my best friend dropped out of high school and has his own construction business. Follow your heart. Be happy in whatever you do. Most importantly, think first.

why drop out if you just plan to go back anyway ?

yes you could get a GED, but you still have to study in order to pass it, so you are better off just finishing school

You probably shouldn't drop out of school at least until you can write proper sentences.

you get a G.E.D.
just go get one right away, as soon as you drop out... if you fail it I think you can just study what you didn't get and do it again.
