Yeah, kind of unfair but the 3 littleb*****ds kicking hell out of my car the other night were all wearing hoodies. I wonder if the old people with ASBOs wear hoodies too!
As for the EMO thing, erm, they look totally different and are not usually kids from estates that have absolutely nowhere to go, no money, no prospects, no support at home.
We need to think about the social problem and implications of raising our kids in ghettos, not get fixated with an item of clothing that has been around a lot longer than the ASBO.
remember Indie back in the early 90's? Inspiral Carpets, Stone Roses,The Farm, Happy Mondays (Yeh, o.k not exactly pillars or rectitude but hey) all wore hoodies and adults didn't like them then.

Although sad, it is tru that this is a widely accepted stereotype where asbos are concerned. Even on the news, they go around asking people in the street if the increase in asbo related crimes makes them nervour sround hoodie wearing youth. For most people the term asbo immediately conjours a thug in a hoodie. This isn't strictly true as CCTV footage which captures the angels in action usually show cap wearin bullies to be the culprits.

I know it's basically branding EMO's as ASBO kids, it's so wrong these EMO kids who wear hoodies have specifically chosen a different style from Chav's who wear caps and sports gear(ironically) so that they are not placed in the same stereotype. This blasphmous photo and headline destroys years of the hoodie being associated with skaters and grungers now known as emo's.
Totally wrong.......it's like putting a picture of a Punk up and calling it a goth......
Stereotypes are important to groups of youths and this has just given them something more to become more emotional about.......no wonder they are confused!

Well, per capita, I think that you would find more ASBOS in that particular grouping, than the general poulation.

No it's not media bias or picking on "elmos". The kids i caught lobbing bricks at a bus a few months ago were wearing hoddies. They wear them so their faces are covered. Get sensible!
