Gene Wilder. His movie had cheesy songs (except for Pure Imagination. I love that song!) and barely any special effects. It even took more liberties with the plot from the book than Wonka did, abandoning the squirrels and adding a fuzzy pop floating sequence that wasn't in the novel. But the screen lit up once he was on and kids watch it even to this day.
Johnny Depp had computer graphics and Tim Burton, but he wound up coming off like Michael Jackson, which was just a little too creepy.
And while I realize the one Oompa Loompa was a ton of work, I'm not sure it was the effect of what they were hoping for. But much better than the Charlie Oompa Loompas!

I want the Oompa Loompas from the dep. version, I HATE the Wilder Loompas. So i might bypass with Wilder's Wonka and Depp's Loompas. Wilder replaced into so lots extra precise to the e book in his depiction. and that i might bypass with the Tim Burton rendition of ... yeah in all probability each thing else, although I enjoyed the seek for the golden tickets interior the Wilder version.

I've never seen the original but I love love love the remake...Willy Wonka is soo weird but I thought it was really funny-I was watching it a couple of days ago and I still laugh just thinking about it :D
