I sit next to a closed window, but I still can feel a draft coming through and so makes me feel cold. There are plug-in heaters at every 2 desks. I'm an ongoing temp by the way. I asked the girl next to me (permanent sec) if she wouldn't mind me plugging in the heater and she said if I did, it would blow too warm for her and said she'd turn on the main big heater instead. She went over to it and made out she had turned it on, but didn't! I would turn it on myself, but I don't know how to. I've just kept the peace and not said a word and just accepted it, but I still could be warmer. I'm having to drink hot water to keep warm. What do you think I should do?

Its a difficult one, I know how you feel. The women I share office with keeps putting the air conditioning on, and so I sit and freeze. I cant stand being cold, but when I challanged it there was uproar, so now I dont say anything just to keep the peace. Some people are just so f*cking inconsiderate, as long as they are ok. If your a temp just go and complain to a manger / the agancy you work through at the end of the day you can always move to another temp job... I on the other hand am stuck with the air con....!

I know how you feel, I am a temp aswell and the office is like a blast furnace but all the girls keep saying how cold they are, I sit next to the raditor and would like to turn it down, but it seems Temps are not as important and our opinion does not count at all in the work place.

Bring it up again, and keep bringing it up until something happens. You shouldn't have to suffer and be cold just because a permanent sec would be too warm!! Can't you ask her to make a compromise and have it on for bit then off for a bit?
