I can't think of any.. i even looked on the internet, BUT i did find out that "Saippuakauppias" is the longest word in any language spelt the same backwards as forwards. It is Finnish for Soap salesman!

There is none. However, there are a number of names of places in the world which sound not only the same but also spelled backword the same. They are known as PALINDROMIC names. Among these are ILLIBILLI a town in Sudan, NENQUEN a city in Argentina, TUMUT a town in Australia, UBURUBURU a town in Nigeria, URAHARU a town in Kigoshima region in Japan, ANAHANAHANA (Madagascar), KANAKANAK (Alaska), KINIKINIK (Alberta), NEUQUEN (a river, province, and city in Argentina), and WASSAMASSAW Road (near Summerville, South Carolina). The northernmost palindrome is QAANAAQ (the administrative capital of Northern Greenland). A web page which attempts to show all palindromic place names is at http://www.nwlink.com/~dtilque/palplaces/index.html.

Hope this will be helpful!

About the closest you will come is Japan.
If you write Nihon in Japanese characters with the Ni(sun symbol) on the top and the hon(origin symbol) on the bottom
in the classic style, then the entire word is symetrical about the
y axis (vertical axis).
Even in a mirror it will look the same.

That is the best I can come up with.
