i have been with my partner for three years. he had a terrible childhood and like you has caused massive problems in our relationship. i have been through hell and back with him but am still here. that should tell you something, your girlfriend has stuck by you knowing it would be easier to walk away. she must love you very much, try speaking to someone professional to teach you to put the past in the past......go for it with your girlfriend, good luck xx

I too have had childhood traumas. I buried myself in my work for 20 years and eventually came to know God. I see the world through different eyes now.

If she feels the same way about you she will be understanding, have you discussed your trauma with her?? Just talk to her & get everything out in the open.. My guess is that she will be willing to try & help you to overcome what happened to you as a child..Take care

We have no idea what your problems are, so I'm afraid we cannot give you any advice! Try to explain a little more next time, and give us more idea what it is that's troubling you! Have a good day!

You need to talk to her about what the truama was and how it has affected you. If she is worth her salt she'll understand your difficulites and be prepared to take things at your pace.

tell her about the problems...if she loves you, she'll be there for you. maybe a counsellor would be okay, but im sure your girlfriend will help you through. if she doesn't, she isnt worth it. i wish you the best of luck to overcome this.

your gonna have to let her know about it. You can't hide something like that forever without her becoming suspicious. Get some counseling if you haven't already.

In this case, you need to talk to your girlfriend. Tell her what happened, take your time. If this girl is meant to be, she will be understanding and sympathetic.
