To improve athletic skills, you train and then practice, practice, practice. It's no different with communications skills. First, learn more about effective communication. The net or your local library both offer great resources. Then, if you want to hone your verbal communications skills, join a discussion group that focuses on topics of interest to you; volunteer to teach or tutor others in an area in which you're skilled; or join a debating team. To improve written communications skills: write! Write letters to distant friends and family; keep a diary or journal; write articles for newsletters or the local paper; start blogging; or even answer questions at Yahoo answers.

There are a few ways of improving your general communication skills.
One is to read a lot so that you understand the written aspect of communication as much as possible. If you can also enjoy a debating team at school. You will soon find your non-verbal (which from your question seems to be part of your concern), written and spoken communication skills will improve.
I would also enrol in an out of school/work English imrpovement course. Aside from reading it is the only way other than exposure over time. In terms of spelling and using the right word also make sure you always refer to a dictionary and a thesaurus to avoid repetition. There is no easy way:-)

First you need to practise with what you are interesting in. like, your hobby, you best food etc. And try to speak with some one who has the same interesting. Try also to argue with them. It is also help you to make list of words that you think difficult to remember.
