My story is set in a fantasy world, inhabitted by human like creatures. Their technological level is that of the 17th of 18th century. They believe in many gods not one. They live in an island world surrounded by water from all sides.
In this world I want to give new names to the following inventions:
-The Telescope
-The Microscope
-The Church
-The Priests,Bishops, Archbishops, cardinals(The religious hiercarchy)
-Kings, queen princes, Dukes(Royal hierarchy)
-Ways of adressing royality and poriesthood(Your magesty, his highness, his holiness, etc)
-The God of Goodness
-The good of badness
Thank you, and awaiting your suggestions.

Telescope - Star seer or catcher
Microscope - device of the Wee (that one is stupid)
The Church - Mishno
Religious Heirarchy - depends on what they do, so the predict the future or offer sacrifices. Do they pray to the gods are the their mouth pieces. The highest in an order could be called Mouthpiece of so and so.
Royal heirarchy - Giho/a (king/queen), Galiho/a (prince/princess), Ruden (Lord), Racala (lady), Kreg (Duke), Krire (duchess), Da Freble (lesser nobles)
god of goodness - Ruekiln (male), Kieylna (female)
god of badness (evil) - Girno (male), Ragorna (female)
What is the name of your book in case I ever see it published.?

Telescope - eyes of eagle
Microscope - eyes of ant
Church - Holy circle, Gathering place, Hall of Gods, Temple
Religious hierarchy - Son/Daughter of (insert name of God/Goddess), Keeper of (insert name of religious artifact) Bringer of Enlightenment, Keeper of the Word, Guardian of (insert God/Goddess)'s secrets
Royalty - Magistrate, High Born, Most High Born, High Well Born, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_and_noble_styles
God of Goodness - There are so many pantheons to look at for ideas there. Personally I am partial to the Celtic God Herne and the Goddess Epona
God of Badness - Again there are tons of pantheons to choose from.
For the names of Gods/Goddess you could always take the name of a known God/Goddess and change vowels or consonants and then go from there.
Best Wishes for your writing endeavors
