I'm tentative about going to one tonight. Can you convince me that these things can be fun?

Had a couple of really good Christmas parties, one on the Isle Of Man. Funniest was when our big boss from America introduced himself to a girl who was a little drunk. "Oh your the one shag*ing kim aren't you?" she blurted. Priceless

We had a woman employee who did not have any manners. She always arranged for her children to be brought to work during the party. It was for the employees only, no spouses, or kids.
She was a double dipper, and a food puter backer. In other words, she would put the chip in the dip, take a bite, and put the chip back in the dip. She was known to have handled food, and put it back on the serving plate. And the kids were just as bad.
So, we had to assign someone to watch her, and stop her from spoiling all the food, and everybody's Christmas.
And guess who that usually was! Yep, me! and guess who got their dinner ruined every year!
I am a little ashamed to admit, no one was sorry when she got fired, same sloppy attitude with her work.
Lol, I love work Christmas parties!

oh they can be a lot of fun! for your own self protection, don't get drunk! and don't make fun of people the next day, next year it could be you. once i was at an office party, most of the people were drinking, people started having alot of fun dancing and mingling. one thing lead to another and boy oh boy! the next day everyone was talking about everyone else. i was actually imitating one of the women in our office and everyone was laughing, then all of a sudden it got real quiet. sure enough, the woman was standing behind me and had seen and heard the whole thing. the worst part is, she was my boss and made my life miserable for the next 3 years. word is they no longer supply alcohol at the Christmas party at that company!

i had a christmas night out in glasgow and me and my colleges stayed in a hotel over night.
The resteraunt was only about 15 mins away from the hotel so we decided to walk back. The boys decided that we shouldn't walk the quick way so it took us an hour to walk home. Although we were all freezing and bursting for the loo we did have a laugh.
Depends on how well you get on with your colleges i suppose.
