Well don't go over the top you wouldn't want him to think your kissing up but at the same time something thoughtful and cozy for the holiday spirit.
* Tickets to a comedy show or theatrical production
* high quality cozy slippers , DVD movie and Cocoa in wrapped in a snugly blanket wrapped with ribbon
* prepay-ed golf reservations
* A funny looking live fish that can live ok in a simple fishbowl in
his office

personally I've given my past employers monogrammed stationary or as some one else said a nice desk set ..pen set..
I also had a Boss with a sweet tooth so I made a homemade assortment of cookies and dessert breads ie ..banana ,carrot,apple cinnamon breads
