anything commercial grade that is toxic and caustic will do the job, with elbow grease chucked in. Children come in handy when jobs like these need attention....take advantage and get some of your own back........a great community service punishment for misbehaviour from your children are the jobs you like least!
probably the easiest way to clean an oven is not to at all. replace it, move house , or stay in denial and make yourself believe that there is no dirty oven....Start using nextdoor neighbours oven and tell them yours is not working properly.

if you arent lucky enough to own a self cleaning oven, you have to make do with the caustic stuff.. I hate it.. I cant breathe for a week and it makes my whole body crawl with tiny burning sensations.. I feel like I have to wear a toxic waste jump suit, headwear included when I clean my oven.. the worst job besides the toilet in my house

For as long as I can remember, I have used Mr Muscle Oven cleaner. , that too is a spray, but I never have had any trouble. It creates a foam in the oven (leave the racks in and spray them too). Follow directions, and wash off. Simple, Even a man could do it !!!lol.

I usually lay foil in the bottom of the oven as soon as I get it, that way any spills go on the foil and I don't have to worry about cleaning it as often. The best way is probably one of the oven cleaning pads.
