The cocoa beans are brown and thus impart their colour. the more milk/cream, the lighter the chcolate.
White chocolate however is a different product altogether and as it contains no cocoa solids is arguably not chocolate at all - fab though it may be :)
I would GUESS you could bleach the cocoa solids with something like sulphur dioxide and then add a colourant to make a different colour but not quite sure of the point :)

Because the original cocoa bean is brown! But you can get white, pink and orange 'chocolate' although this only contains milk solids rather than cocoa mass and should be referred to as candy not chocolate.

I suppose that as the cocoa bean is brown colour when it is ground down, choccy is the same colour.
what colour would u like it? Green?!!!!!!
u'd have to write to cadbury but i should not have thought u would get a terrific response.
i suppose in theory u could use any colour under the sun but it's commercial value would surely be limited.

Would it be called chocolate if it wasnt brown?........then again there is white chocolae and dark chocolate....who the hell knows and do we really care?

its brown because thts its colour and choclate is the shade of brown and choclate gets its color from the cocoa whcih is natural and made by God so thats were it came from
