Christmas - a time for giving, receiving, sharing & world peace
It is a world wide celebration .. regardless of religious beliefs
I think you should decorate your office, as other religions have their special occasions which are celebrated and respected.
What is the world coming to if you cant even put up decorations for fear of offending others.

I'm a Muslim and I love the Christmas spirit. I love the lights that go around the town centre, I love how everyone rushes to buy last minute presents, I love the way everyone still hopes for snow and I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting to decorate your work place. At the end of the day it's a Christian Country and should be allowed to celebrate your religious festivals just like other religions are.

And for those of you wondering
i know plenty of other muslims that hold the same view
and i'm not a wanna be Christian.

putting xmas decorations or nativity scenes up are a celebration of a christian/catholic festival, and in your own country i dont see why not maybe as a matter of courtsey if you work with people from other religous backgrounds and you think some one mite be particularly offended u should speak to them and explaine ur reasons b4 u put them up. You often find that alothough they may have a primary alternative religion that they also recognise christmas. happy decorating and merry christmas xx

I'm sure that there's some idiotic workplace that thinks Christmas decorations have no place in the office. However, I'd go ahead and hang them up anyway. All they can do is tell you to take them down. If it's offensive to someone, I'm sure you can find something about someone else that's offensive and then you can have their decorations taken down. It makes no sense to censor Christmas if other holiday observances are allowed due to political correctness.

When you go to a Chinese or Indian restaurant around Christmas time, you always see Christmas decorations. Even though they do not celebrate Christmas, they put them up for those who do, so why shouldn't those who celebrate Christmas put decorations up in their own shops/offices?

For a lot of people, Christmas isn't even a religious occasion anyway!

No i dont think its wrong to put decorations up at work at xmas, but we should also think of the other religions and put up decorations at their festive time.

i am indian and i was told that i couldnt put up decorations at work as i may offend the muslims. I still did it and the muslims all congratulated me on a lovely display. If anyone gets offended......then they should not blatantly practise their religions in public by saying, wearing , eating and praying what they need to.

I think as long as you dont go crazy and over decorate it should be ok. Also, I notice a lot of businesses can't/don't say "Merry Christmas." Instead they say things like "Happy Holidays." So, maybe do something like that.
