I'm using Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6.. I would like to know how do you erase the memory when we search something in the net. I would like to erase the search history in the box. For instance, when we want to search something beginning with a letter 'A', when we type the letter, all the search history were shown. I would like to erase it. Teach me please!

Go to the Intenet Explorer properties. Select the 'content' tab, in that you can find 'AutoComplete...' button Click that button. Afterwards click 'Clear Forms' and/or 'Clear Password' button. If you deselct the radio buttons 'Web addresses','Forms','user names and passwords on forms' you wont see a list while typing in search engine, or username box.

In Internet Explorer, mouse click inside the search engine searching box. The whole list of terms you've searched on should be there, in alphabetical order. Roll the mouse over a term to highlight it, and hit the "Delete" key. Repeat for each term you want to delete.

If you ever use Firefox, you need to hold the shift key down while highlighting and deleting.

Try this, Click "Tools" menu then "Internet Options" select the "General" tab and then under "browsing history" click delete. This works for internet Explorer 7, i don't know for internet explorer 6. Try anyway because I can't since I am using internet explorer 7 or better yet update to internet explorer 7 its free.

Hope this helps.

to completely erase the URL of a visited website, use the registry editor. DO NOT MESS WITH THE REGISTRY EDITOR THOUGH, AS IT CAN REALLY KILL YOUR PC. IF YOU STICK TO THE GUIDELINES, YOU'LL BE FINE !!!!!!!!!

Run registry editor by clicking start/run. This opens the 'Run' dialog box. Type in RegEdit. When RegEdit opens, click 'edit' then 'find'. Type "TypedURL" into the search box and hit search. Left click on a URL name to select it, then right click to modify it. Do not delete the entry entirely though !
