I'm in the NYC metro area, but I wonder if it's worth the trouble of going somewhere else (Calif.) to get a better price. Any advice on how to find a good doc?

If you are serious about breast augmentation, price should not be a factor for you. This is not somewhere to be frugal with your money, because a good boob job can look completely natural and a bad boob job can be horrifying. I would recommend checking out implantinfo.com, it is very extensive. They have lists of good doctors in New York and California. I believe the prices are about the same in both states (maybe even cheaper in New York). Prices can range from $3,000-9,000, with $6-7,000 being about standard. Anyways, just check out the website and you can do all the research you want and ask questions on their forum.

California has GREAT doctors. This is the plastic surgery capital. RIght now they are having breast augmentation specials for $2800. My doctor works out of Newport Beach in a beautiful facility. I had it done for a little more than that but I am extremely happy with my results and would NEVER change it!!
