There are companies that speliaze in changing currency (usually they are called 'Bureau de change') in every major airport, railway station, etc. They are usually open 7 days a week.

Most, if not all, banks change US dollars as week, but they are usually open only 5 days a week.

Or use can use an ATM.

The best rates are usually in the Bureau de change, but in most countries the different is very small when compared to a bank for example, so you can change in the nearest place.

Hotel pricing depends on the quality of the hotels, but you can find decent hotels with affordable prices almost everywhere.

ask your bank if your debit or atm card can be used in europe, if it can the cheapest way to get euros is withdrawing from an atm machine some atm fees are no more than 2 dollars or depending on your bank fees, but if you go to an exchange house or bank you will pay more plus the dollar is too cheap compared to the euro so will be losing more money if you use the exchange or banks. hotels are usually cheaper outside downtown area or any major city.

at the airport, or at the us embassy. or u can go to a european atm, and pull out euros, although there will be a fee for that. and some hotels are expensive, but if you can find a brothel (and i promise they're actually very nice here) then it will be cheaper.
