I would like to start a blog. what is the best way to do it? There seem to be lots of 'providers' are they all as good as each other? I do not want to make money (advertising). I do not say much at parties and in groups of people but when I do it seems to HIT the point, so maybe I do have things to say. Things that other people might be intrested in!

I'd say have a look at blogger.com to get you started, loads of features, pre made templates, own address (name.blogger.com) Nice way to start off blogging

Yahoo 360 or myspace allow you to "blog" quickly and easily. All your friends in your "buddy list" can read your blog easily, subscribe to it and get notified if and when you update it. They also don't require a knowledge of html, css, coding, marketing, etc
http://www.wordpress.com/ is a great solution because if you get used to the interface and your blog does turn into something you want to make money on it is very easy to export your archived blogs and post on an money making site.

I use blogdrive.com
it already has a tagboard, header, etc.
you can also choose layout from design.blogdrive.com
I find it easy to use and like blogger.com...........the address will be name.blogdrive.com
