Gold, cream, ivory, silver, I think you should stick to more traditional Christmas colours such as red and green. It shouldn't matter what colour your walls are. Just stick to a simple colour scheme no more than say 2/3 colours.

our walls are cream too... and it sometimes a struggle what to put on the tree so that it would not look dull..... this year my sister decorated our tree with PURPLE.... it looks great...... and it gives highlight the to tree....
