Anyway. its around 20" head to end of tail (thats a guess) but its in a 20gal aquarium. Im not sure what the heats suppose to be and they have no thermometer in there or humidity thing so im lost on what any of that is all i know is i come home some days and the cage is all wet inside so i open the lid and let it air out. but they have 3 differnt plants inside which they say is ok (they are a palm bush, ivy and a fake plant) (thats also a educated guess im sure on the palm and the fake but the ivy could be summtin else) But she has some wierd dieses r summtin they say. her back legs wont move like the iguna wont even try to move them idk what they are doing about that. i know they put calcium on the food and this thing called jumpstart in...

I'm sorry, your iguana is very sick and may be dieing. What you describe is end stage metabolic bone disease, calcium imablace and possible kidney failure.
You can do nothing fast enough at home. Get to a reptile vet.
In the meantime, goodle Iguana care, and keep him/her warm and damp. Swim him/her in warm water- support his/her head as it is possible for an iguana to drown from weakness. Warm water soaks help hydrate sick iguana's.
Iguana's are difficult pets to raise and keep healthy, they need UV light, heat, humidity, and a very detailed diet... or they die.
Good luck to you.

WITHOUT the uvb bulb that emits atleast 5 percent or more uvb rays, the iguana isnt going to absorb the calcium. Like someone else said your tank is WAY TOOO SMALL. They need atleast 55 gallons for a hatchling iguana. It has Metabolic bone disease and you need to get it to a vet and correct the husbandry issues. Your mom and your brother need to be punched for not doing proper research before getting the iguana. http://iguanaden.org Read all of this site.

It sounds like metabolic bone disease. I had an iguana die from it. They dont get the required light and calcium, and the bones soften, they cant move them easily, or they may break with just a simple touch.
As for the mouth, mine had that too. I believe that is also a symptom of MBD.
We ended up giving our iguana daily shots of vitamin D, I think, and were practically feeding him pureed food through a syringe placed between his mouth. He didnt make it tho. :( Very tragic.
Get yours checked out, and be lucky if he gets through it!
... after reading the post above mine, I agree with the swimming in warm water to help them defacate. We ended up doing that too, but if they cant move thier legs, it doesnt help much, so make sure water isnt too deep, and you may have to help him move a little bit.

GOOD LUCK!

I am totally for iguanas, I have a feminine iguana that's 6 years historical that we adore like our possess, she took slightly whilst to tame, however as soon as she was once she did not even must reside in a cage, we regularly have allow her have the run of the residence and she or he's a best woman. I could enormously propose them, she's just about like a character, she likes to devour pizza, lasagna, spaghetti, and so forth. They are round 20-30 greenbacks and persist with a depressing leafy inexperienced vitamin and a few culmination. If the iguana is raised together with your pomeranian it's going to be excellent, that is what we have now and in the beginning she hated the pomeranian however now he is simply facet of the surroundings and is not even spotted. And I consider it could be a well puppy for a thirteen yr historical boy, they're beautiful low renovation.

It sounds like a nerve desiese. Most commom in inbreed Igaunas. For one your tank is way to damn small it should be in a 55 gallon or larger, Temp should be for the hot side about 98 degrees the cool side about 78 degrees. Misting your Igauna with spray bottle keeps the humidty up it helps them shed and drink. I would get your Igauna to a vet as soon as possible. If the nerve damage goes on to long it will cause your vet to have to put your Igauna to sleep.

yes, get to the vet!
regarding eating and weight gain, i had success by letting the iguana swim in a warm, almost hot, sink or tub before eating. their body temp needs to be over 80 something for them to digest the food properly. this also helped with shedding of the old skin.
a young iguana also needs protein. i used chicken since mine seemed to think crickets were roommates.
this particular iguana later had a problem with eggs. she hadn't passed them and was becoming ill from holding them in her body. as it was my nephew's iguana, and my year long baby sitting stint was over, i am not sure how that was handled.
SEE THE VET! and find one who knows about lizards.

www.anapsid.org is Melissa Kaplan's Herp and Green Iguana site and has info on your snakes as well. But I agree with the others, if you can, get it to the vet fast, that poor baby is in pain.

u need to take that poor thing to the vet!! my dad's iguana had similar problems, he waited too long, and it had to be put down. the inability to move his back legs is an indicator of the disease my dad's had. and obviously ur brother and mom don't know how to care for it, so maybe u should take over.
