The answer is because most people suffer from the disease of 'more' most of us think that there is better round the corner and as we want more, we easily throw away what we have. I too am in this place just now and know how unhappy it an make you. Life seems full of regret and we cant stop calling ourselves stupid, life seems awful and purposeless and personally it has made me afraid to make any decisions! which is really hard cos I'm afraid to move on. The only thing I can say is hang on in, I may not know this lesson in life but I do know the one about continuing whatever happens and something will eventually happen...good luck.

We have a tendency to put ourselves first.
Don't focus on how bad YOU feel.
Thinking of YOU -or ME - is usually the reason why we're not happy.
Start again NOW!
Look outside yourself for someone who needs more than you do.... An elderly neighbour who is lonely, do some volunteering in a local outreach....schools often look for help with homework programs.....Buy a cup of hot coffee and a donut for the bum on the corner (and check how he likes it- just because he has nothing, don't expect that he should be grateful if he takes two sugars and you give him three - we all have human dignity).
And pray. I will for you too.
Things can only get better, right?-sw

If you have lost something or someone then there is sadness and that is something we all feel from time to time.
If it is a lover you have parted from then you are geing selfish by feeling hurt and alone. There are many more out there and most likely even better than the one that is gone.
The world will not stop for you so get with it and keep moving on. Truth is no one really cares.

I guess its the way that we learn- I lost someone the other day who I have known for 4 years now. Fantastic Relationship. I have taught myself that- and I know its going to sound like a cliche'- but it happens for a reason and what you learnt from that person and the memories you had together, you will never forget. Just cheer up- you will break down soon which will help alot to get it all out. Also keep family & friends close as they are always there to catch you when you fall.

because most of us lack in experience... it takes that to make you more appreciative. if you've never had a good thing, once you have it, believe me you will cherish the ground it walks on... i've been with the worst people on earth, and now that i've found the best human in all aspects... i make sure he knows and i thank Lord each day that he's mine. if you lose a good thing... you cant be blamed. its human nature to always be in a comfort zone about what w already have coz we have it and see no reason in making sure it stays that way, until u learn. it takes a severe burn for one to learn never to play near fire again. at least having learned this, the next time you'll be more appreciative...

its a big part of life and its a learning process, one you have loved and lost a couple of times, and realised this hard lesson, you might not make the mistakes again, and learn to hang on to what is good in life. i have learned the hard way, and now i have the most amazing things in my life , only because i learned how to appreciate. hope this helps, but the only way to feel good about yourself is to pick yourself up and move on, i know that sounds harsh but living in the past will only drag you down, put it down to a bad experience and move on pal, x

Basically because some changes are hard to accept since they can cause grief. The best thing you can do during trying times is spend times around friends and family and do familiar things you enjoy. Get professional help if nothing else seems to work. Best of luck to you.

maybe it's our nature to not cherish things we have, but keep looking for what we want to have or get,so try to count your blessings each day,and you'll realize that you have many good things in your life to be thankful for :)
some things to make you feel better is that you are worth love and respect, you run your life ,nobody else,if you're not good at somethings,it's not the end of the world, you can improve yourself.
