Well of course it is important. It's a part of life's cycle. Without procreation (sex) in nature (living things) there won't be food. If cow's don't have sex anymore, there won't be anymore steak for you to eat.

nah... it's not that important. you'll be alive even thought you don't have sex in your entire life, not like not eating food. the main purpose of sex is to produce another human being not for staying alive or just having fun. So then why its good? Well, who wants to have sex if on the next 9 months the have to carry a baby and have to take care of it for the rest of their live if it doesn't feel good at the process of it? :D

We need sex, but we can (I think) live without sex. We need food, and we can't live without food. Of course, without sex, life will be dull.
But this preception will change a bit when ur married - We need sex "a bit more" than when we're single > to keep our relationship happy.
