Why does water travel up a wick and out of a glass to a lower Plato?
Take a glass 3/4 full of water and place on a table.add a piece of cotton material half why into the glass.allow the rest of material to go down to the table.The cotton must be wet to at lest the point where the water is inside the glass on the out side portion.It takes time but you will see a puddle form on the table from the wick.
It's a simple science project take combines physics,chemistry,and algebra.Red die my help you see the action as well.

Try this maybe we can save a life.
The fire dept. and police recommend CO detectors and that is good. The problem is that all the sensors that I know of for CO are chemical and their life is about 3years. after that they want detect anything. If the CO detector the sensor needs to be changed .

you can work on some experiments in optics(lens,focal length etc).
or you can work on simple electric circuits like ohms law, potentiometer, magnets. etc.
or some chemical experiments on acids, alkalies ,hard water,soft water.
