reason why there so many teens are getting pregnant..?

are the father of the kid or both are taking care of the baby...

for some father yes, but some are not because they scared of the responsibilty.. but why did they do such things like that if they cant handle it.

in my opinion i think there are so many teens getting pregnant these days because they are not nearly educated as much as they should be...people talk about hiv/aids, herpies, and all the other diseases with teens but they dont see anything real. They dont meet someone who faces the everyday challenge of having such an illness. They also think its easy to be a teenage mom(which it isnt)..they need to meet young parents whom struggle with the issues of raising a baby on welfare or something. Its not easy and kids think its all fun and games, and it is until you have to pay for playen. I also believe that 60% of the time the father is not there for the baby which leaves a young helpless mother there no place to go no help with the baby to raise this sweet innocent child on her own. The child did not ask to be here therefore you should atleast give it a proper un bringing and if youer young and cant raise a baby right than give it up for open adoption...ims ure it will be hard but its for the better of your child. In the cases where the father is there with the mother great!Thats a more stable enviorment for the baby and im sure that child will grow up bweing loved by both parents. Burt i would like to make it clear that its not just males leaving females to raise kdis on there own i know many of males whom have been left at 15 or 16 to raise a kid on there own beciase the mother was eithor a crtackwhore or a stupid slut and didnt want responsability once it came that time.
I know this answer is long and i apologize but i cant stand seing young ppl pregnant they are still kids themselves! Spend a day in the lives of teenage parents and maybe they will think harder bout protection,birth control and abstenance next time. I was young when I had my daughter, and i dont at all regret ahving her but i wish i would have finished school and had a better job so my daughter could have had a happier up bringing.

You have to realize, not every teen is the same, and not every teen has the same reasons for having sex. Some teens do it because of the lack of a male figure in their lives, some do it for attention, some do it because they fell hopelessly in love with their boyfriend/girlfriend, and some do it because its the thing to do. I fall under the category of helplessly in love, and I am 8 months pregnant, at 14, and I am still helplessly in love. My boyfriend then,husband now, has been there from me from the beginning. He has been to almost every appointment, he's going with me to all the prepared birthing classes, and he's going to be in the room when I have the baby. I know I made a huge mistake in having sex. My boyfriend then,husband now, talked it all out before we did it. We thought we had everything right(which we didn't). He was wearing a condom and I was on birth control(I NEVER missed a day either)and if I could take it back, I probably wouldn't, I'm gonna have a wonderful baby, a true blessing. You can't ask the question"why are so many teens getting pregnant?" and not get millions of different answers. All teens aren't the same. I hope I helped you understand it a bit more! bye!

Well it's not like they ask for it some just think there having fun and don't think of the cons of sex or simple because there parents haven't educate there kids on sex. Witch resaluts in them truning around thinking it's ok nothings going to happen or because the parents say they can't so they do instead of explaing to them why they should wait they forbid them witch makes them do it. If parents would explane to kids that they need to be responsible about sex and about there bodys and that they trust them maybe there would be less kids getting pregnant or they would at least practous safe sex.

The reason teens are getting pregnant is they are having sex. Parents and other community leaders (school, church, youth groups) try to educate children about sex, but it is difficult because it is a taboo subject for many. We need to put aside our personal feelings about sex and focus on the problems of unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease. When we talk openly about these issues, it will help. When we provide education about and access to birth control and condoms (as birth control and STD protection), it will also help.

Some fathers are taking care of the babies as best they can, but really it is hard to be a good father when you are 16 years old and just started working at a fast food restaurant making minimum wage while still in high school. I don't mean to say that it is a good thing that we have teenage parents, but for those kids, especially the boys, who are doing all they can to be responsible, I applaud them for being responsible for the life they have created regardless of the circumstances of conception.

People have sex because they want to intimacy and expression of love and/or they just want the sexual pleasure. Most very young people that have sex just are not thinking of the consequence. They think it won't happen to them. They think they can withdraw in time. They think they understand the rhythm method, but don't. They think the condom won't break. The think birth control pills are 100% effective. Or they just don't really think at all. They just want to feel the feeling of sex. We really need to educate these kids as soon as we can. Let me tell, you being a father is the best thing a man be IF he is ready and wants that in his life, but if he is not ready, it can be hard.

The reason a lot of teens are getting pregnant is the so-called "sexual education classes" in our school systems. The school wants sex ed, but they only teach abstinence, not prevention. We need to use some of the money that is spent on useless things in schools, like new football equipment EVERY YEAR, and start putting more of it into programs that are NEEDED, like SEX ED!!

That is not to say that football is not important. It is. It's just that a $10,000.00 budget EVERY YEAR for football is ridiculous! That equipment don't wear out that fast, people.

hmm another stereotype. i think that yes that is true for some teenagers and not for others. Im a teenager myself 17 and me and my fiancee love eachother very much and thats why we had sex. Eventhough i was on the pill i got pregnant and we didint mind it was just sooner than expected. We are both gonna take care of the baby and my fiancee knows his responsibilites and does not shy away from them

If I understand you correctly, I think you want to know why so many teenage girls get pregnant so soon in their empty and pathetic lives, is that right?

That`s because those sad girls have nothing better to do than to chase boys around the local "greasy spoon" and also because most of them lead a rather boring and meaningless existence. You`ll probably also find that they come from unprivileged backgrounds and broken homes, are under-achievers in every area of their lives and have absolutely no interest whatsoever in an academic career and therefore probably also have a very limited intellect!!!

I think because we think that it's not taboo to do it. For example i'm only 14 and I'm a virgin but boys have tried to have sex with me and what you must be able to say is NO because if not you will have problems and also we drink more and if you are drunk you don't think things through so you have sex with the boy withouth contraception. I also think it has to do with the education the parents have given to the child.

Because one no parents around to teach them how to act, two sex is taboo to many people so they don't want to talk about it, and three becuase they are immature and do not think of the consequences that come with sex.
