I don't think you are going to get too many pleasant answers here. The story of Palestine is a sad one, but I pray that the truth will be one day revealed, justice be served and peace be restored. Some people would even call me anti semite over what I just said (LOL). Well, in my perspective, anti semetism is a western concept.
From an open minded perspective, I would say that Afganistan was more or less a boxing bag for the US. Trying to promote western style democracy over there looks very silly. Most of the country is still controlled by warlords and the like, only Kabul and Khandahar are in coalation control. There are not enough troops to take control of the entire country.
Iraq is a disaster, and should an invasion on Iran take place and I can tell you that the consequences of an Iran-Saudi war are incalculable. Many Americans don't understand the dangerous political and military forces evolving in the Middle East. Its not that people are bad, they are just ignorant. Ignorance is universal.
Peace to the world.

A terrorist is technically a person who wages war on civilians instead of directing attacks towards the military of the country they are fighting against. The word gets thrown around a lot these days, so it's easy for the definition to get miscontrued as simply "person who doesn't like us."
And yes, this definition would include some attacks America has made in the past where civilians were the obvious targets - most notably Hiroshima in Japan.
No one is claiming that war is good and fair. :(

Fighting in Korea and Japan was definitely a good reason! Japanese were invading all of Asia with no mercy at all (killing women and children), so someone had to put them in their place (lucky that the present relation is good because that Atom bomb was f'd up). As for South Korea, the US fought alongside them and even now is protecting them in case North Korea strikes. You mention General McArthur to a Korean...he is a hero.
Vietnam, on the other hand, was a questionable move...and Iraq, and Afghanistan. Who can we blame? Our beloved prezzie, dubbya.

You again...
someone here on Yahoo said something like this the other day.
" A man fighting for his country ( a real freedom fighter) is considered a "terrorist", by someone else.
With this I agree.
Killing your children, your neighbor, anyone whom does not see your point, wear ski masks, beheading innocent people and blow-up weddings in your neighbors country, "that ; is a REAL GLOBAL Terrorist" , these so called freedom fighters for you, are the animals that have to be marked for extinction for they are not freedom fighters, they are just animals, you imbecile !

Palestine is wrong! In addition you are being supported by Hezbollah, a terrorist group!
Just because we attack countries for no reason doesn't give you the right to bomb buildings, markets, buses as you have for decades!
That is a direct attack and is against international law!
There is also no basis for America, or anyone else, to attack Iran as they are well within their rights under NAFTA and the US is a long way from it's rights to even consider attacking Iran! Hell, we are about to lose in Iraq!

Personally, as an American, I do not call the rebels for a free Palestine, terrorists. However, there are many who used methods which were more guerrila (literally, "little war") than cosmpolitan.

There are factions out there that want to impose their views on everyone, even though they are in the minority; they commit acts of terrorism and hide behind women and children... or they shoot while hiding behind women and children... like cowards. But, if someone is shooting at you while they're hiding behind a woman... YOU wouldn't shoot back and allow yourself to be murdered? What do you do if your country's leaders are despots and tyrants? You follow their rule or risk being executed... or you find a way to leave... as many have done and are now living here peacefully in America. I still remember how many who opposed the Viet Nam War were called cowards and anti-American and other foul names... but we all can agree now that the unpopular war was WRONG... retrospectively speaking of course.
There are also outside agitators that are spurring others to commit acts of violence (those instagators are home in a comfortable chair). All of this is merely stalling the peace talks. Revenge must be set aside if there's ever to be any future peace. Everytime there are new negotiations for peace, some of these groups come forth and start murdering or bombing or shooting... to cause terror... hence, the term terrorism... to prolong the war. It's funny how people who have left Lebanon feel different about those promoting the war once they leave the Palestine...!
It's so easy to advocate war and promote war when you're not doing the actual fighting and risking your life... like the leaders of those terrorist groups. But, the minute someone stands up and makes a demand for peace... he is murdered by those promoting war and mayhem... by those who would impose tyranny on the populace and impose near slave status on women and prevent wormen from getting an education and having equal rights with men. Yes, right now they support hospitals to buy the sympathy of the public... but are the ones responsible for prolonging war that is killing women and children and brainwashing some to strap bombs to their bodies.
Can you imagine what the Palestine would be like today if peace had occurred 10 years ago... or even 6 years ago...????
By the way, the founders of the USA would today be called terrorists if not for the fact that they successfully ousted the British rule in America, and ended their tyranny here. The overthrow of English rule brought about a democracy, imperfect as it was but a democracy, nonetheless. We're still working to improve it... the only setbackd are the few special interests groups (much like in Palestine) who use their influence to control the majority but NOT with violence or bombs or murders or beheadings or tortures. This country still believes in giving EVERYONE a vote and equal opportunities for education and a better livelihood... equal rights for men AND women before the law, a fair trial with legal counsel for those accused of crimes, with a separation of church (religion) and government!
Here, we believe that anyone, regardless of how unpopular his/her views is entitled to free RESPONSIBLE speech and expression (they cannot tell lies that would hurt others in any way).
Do you REALLY not understand what rights, freedoms and liberties are where you can have your own personal beliefs and I can have my own personal beliefs without having to kill one another over our differences of religion? Do you NOT know what a democracy is?
War is not civilized and atrocities DO occur; that's why CIVILIZED people prefer peace to war! WHEN will people stop hating and seeking revenge... when will people seek peace?
IF we were to ignore those abuses, we'd be just as guilty as those terrorists that are murdering and committing all sorts of crimes on other human beings... To hell with anyone who promotes terrorism! The world is getting tired of terrorists, despots, tyrants and dictators!
