it's not so much what you can do on the internet, but what the internet allows you to do.
The internet is the ideal source to learn about any interests you have.
I enjoy computers and got in writing HTML which is web pages, also designing with graphics programs, then you can start to get clever and learn languages like Javascript, ASP and then even move on to the platforms they sit on like windows server 2003, IIS - all of this I learned on the internet along with pretty much anytning I need to know or do (book holidays, flights)
So your question is a generic one, and with the internet being so vast I would say let the internet take you where you wanna go and follow that path until you get your answer or bored.
