Although it would be nice to have Bonds following Pujols in the lineup - even an older Bonds still intimidates a lot of Pitchers. I think he will go to a team that needs to draw fans into the stands - a team like the Royals - the fans will go out of curiosity - kind of like going to see a two headed frog. But with his asking price - that may not even happen.

Between Pojuls making an @ss of himself, McGwire sobbing like a baby and no one outside of St. Louis really believing that an 83-78 team should be masquerading as "world champions", I doubt that they need another side show in Barry "Steroid" Bonds. What Bonds needs to do is stop letting Greg Anderson do his jail time for him and man up to his responsibilities. The sooner this cheater walks away from baseball, the better!

Fear not. That is just a ploy for Bonds to get a good contract with the Giants. No one really want him. He is not a team player and is a definite liability to any team. He would do everyone a favor by retiring and save himself the disgrace of being unwanted despite his potential.

Chow!!

Look, fans hate the guy we know that. But he draws a crowd and thats what GM's are looking at. This is a buisness. He will go to the highest bidder and break the record. Look at the Yanks, Red Sox, and Cards to throw around big money. But the question is, is he serious about leaving the bay area? Angles will also throw money his way, but his last name isn't hispanic.

first off id like to say that bonds is a peice of trash, and doesnt deserve a spot in the hall despite his record 7 mvps... but in all honesty bonds will not leave san fran. he is asking for 40 mil over 2 years from proespective buyers, which no one will give him. there is also a stigma surrounding barry bonds (gee i wonder why) and i feel that no self respecting team wants him to break a legend like hank aarons record while weraing their uniform. i would say that bonds is pretty much hated through out the US in every place but san francisco, thus making it very easy for them to keep him in uniform and watch him break Aarons record unjustly.

Well, unfortunately the Cardinals would NOT in fact have learned their lessons from another goof-ball named Mark Mcwire who was probably doing something ILLEGAL and yet, at the time, got "away with it" because the seemingly goof-ball de-facto, do nothing about it, call him commissioner (I don't) Bud Selig didn't want to deal with the problem.

Please DO NOT let barry bonds go to the classy Cardinals organization!!!

I seriously doubt that the Cardinals would stoop that low. I always bash the Phillies and they have not even shown any interest.

Since when do cardinals fans discriminate against steroid users? They accepted Mark McGwire.
