I think it all boils down to two things:
1) Geography
2) Language
You've got the mexicans in the southern America and the Spanish in spain not too far off, but Asia is a ways away.
and Language, from what I know, Spanish is chosen by many in America as their second language...Mandarin or any other Asian Language is unheard of! And how many people actually like listening to songs which they can't comprehend in terms of language?

I lived in Japan and Tawain between 1999 and 2003. During that time I travel much around asia as well: Korea, Thailand even Indonesia. I loved the music and attained quite a CD collection: Glay, Kinki Kids, Southern All-Stars, Morning Musume ... you name it (in Asian music) I heard it I even loved and learned many traditional Japanese Inka. I soon began asking the same question you are now asking: Why no influence or exposure in the West?! The only Asain girls to be heard prolifically in America are the girls from Japan who sing the theme song for that silly popular cartoon show.
The answer I got to my (our) question from almost every Asian well-versed in the international music industry was thus: Asian music sucks.
What they meant was American and English (Western) music is what typically influenced Asian and not vice versa. It is rare to hear original songs and music in the countries I mentioned and NOT be able to directly attribute to something else you've already heard. Asian music is simply not very original. (in fact if you delve deeper into the culture you will see that poetry, science, other literature, art, etc. is many copies upon copies with little variation)
Latino music, on the other hand, though being geographically closer is vastly different and more creative. Originating from a spirit of another mother, you gotta love the "other" found in that music source.

Because the Latino population is increasing more than the
African-American. Which, also means we live in America, keep in
mind that we are all Americans, North Americans is one thing, but
Central and South America is more of melting pot.
However, I work with a very mix group and I listen to Vietnamese,
Japenese, Arabic, Italian, French, Egyptian, Spanish and know a few words here and there. I just embrance any kind of music
but no country or rap, sorry I just can't deal the dog barking and the background or the bass beat that revs my engine,

There are more Latinos in the U.S. than Asians. The television and radio stations are trying to appeal to the largest audience, because they want to get advertisers to pay as much as possible. The advertisers want to advertise on stations with a wider audience, because they want to sell more product.

I don't really know why.
But I like Latin music (whether Italian, Spanish, Portugese, French, or Romanian) better than Asian music.

I don't know but TEJANO music makes me sick to my stomach. A lot of mexicans who are paid very little to do lawn work in the nicer neighborhoods blast that music up real early in the morning without any consideration. I can't stand Tejano music and it makes me want to throw up. It's annoying to hear.

just because most people think asain music is bad doesnt make asain music bad music. i dont see alot of people going too crazy over listening to orchestra music all the time...and you know why?? IT DOESNT FLOAT YOUR BOAT. but there are many people who would go crazy over listining to orchestra all day everyday!
to tasteslike:
personally i dont like latino music. to me latino music is really repetitive and i feel like theres always a party for no reason. i dont like rap either because the lyrics are stupid and the beats are all the same. i dont feel rap is original either. i like asain music better because i feel it was more variety and allows itself to sound weird and not always original. you americans are only going to think asain music sounds good when it sounds like "american music". arent you guys real original.
