When everything just keeps going.

No matter what happens.

When the same story keeps repeating right in front of you...over and over and over...

but how do you end a story that has no beginning...

That complete metaphor is the straw that broke the camel's back. One could load more and more straw on to the camel's back, but at some point adding one more piece of straw--something that is very light--would cause the camel to collapse from the weight. The thing is we all have different points when we can't take any more. Certain people can carry on longer than others, and sometimes we call those people heroes, but even heroes have a breaking point. Carry on as best you can.

The answer is to look inside yourself and decide how you want the story to change, if you really want the story to change at all. Sometimes we tie ourselves up by repeating the same mistakes over and over again because it is COMFORTABLE. The same mistakes generally lead to the same consequences, and even if those consequences aren't pleasant, we're still familiar with them. You are always in control of your situations, they are never in control of you. Don't sit back and watch the story play out ... step up and be an active participant in the story!

The idea of the "last straw" can be different for all of us. Its the one thing that makes us do something. Maybe your last straw is realizing you've fallen into a vicious cycle. Maybe knowing this will be enough to make you do something to change whatever is happening.

This sounds like a sad story friend. All you can do in a situation like this is give up and move on. Something....or someone....is making your life miserable. Life is too short.
You gave it your best shot......the final straw came some time ago from what you say.

Give up. Move on. Good luck.

What doesn't have a beginning, won't have an end. In order to finish, you first must start.

Go inside yourself and begin building your own 'straw'. " If you're ship doesn't come in...sometimes you have to swim out to it. "
