I would hope the human factor would once again come into play in the BCS rankings and not allow for a rematch. It wouldn't be fair for Michigan to have to beat them twice, just like it wouldn't have been fair for Ohio State to have to beat Michigan twice.
What I mean by this is that if you allow for a rematch, you make the first meeting utterly meaningless. Whoever wins the rematch is the national champ, regardless of who won the first game. So in our reality, where Ohio State beat Michagan last month, if Michigan was given the #2 spot and a shot in the title game, and then won... they would be national champs, which would beg the question...why? People would be asking for yet another rematch, to break the 1-1 tie. Horrible scenario that the BCS luckily avoided this year, or you would be hearing 1000 times as many demand for a playoff system.

The end of game ten or the hypothetical ame of Michigan in BCS championship?
If it's game ten then Michigan would have surpassed OSU into #1, only to play Florida.
If it's the hypothetical game, then Michigan would be #1 if they out do Fl (but with the stupid BCS, Florida could lose and still be champs).
If it's what I'm asking:
"what if Florida barely beats OSU in a teeny defensive mub game (let's say 6-3) and Michigan slams USC, could the Wolverines possibly win or share a title?"
Most likely no though, because Florida would already be ahead by 1 victory (13-1 vs. 12-1), however Michigan would be tied with OSU and like Carr said, no one's going to bother with them (since they're not #1).
It's been said time and time before:
Division 1 needs a play off!

Florida proably still does. Between people not wanting the rematch and that Florida is STILL SEC Champion. Ohio State clearly would have fallen to two after that game and they likely would have fallen to three after the second and then had Florida hop over them after USC. It would have likely been the very same route. If Ohio St loses do you think they get past Michigan in the computers and stay at number one over Michigan? That is about the only way I see them finishing two.

I am an Ohio State fan, but if that happened Ohio State would be in the same boat Michigan is now. They would end up # 3 and play USC in the rose bowl. You definetely could't but Ohio State on top in that situation because of Michigans huge win over Notre Dame

It should be the 2 best teams. Michigan was ranked 2 and Ohio 1 when they played, so Michigan losing only confirmed that ranking. If it was the other way around Michigan would have been #1 and Ohio #2, and they would both be playing for the National Championship. These two play every year, neither one should be penalized as Michigan has been.

Ohio State would have been bumped to #2 and would have played Michigan in the title game. No questions asked.
Actually, both OSU and UofM ended their schedules with that game. So technically, if UofM won. They would have been ranked #1, OSU #2, USC #3, and Florida #4.
The very next week UofM would have been bumped down to #5 while OSU gets back at #1, USC #2, Florida #3 and Rutgers #4. haha jk

It would be the same scenario. Ohio State would end up #3 in the BCS and Florida would take the #2 spot.

you can ask that all you want...
but let's say michigan did beat OSU,
but what if Florida beat Auburn... Then UF would definitely deserve a shot at the National Championship because they went 13-0 in their conference....
you can ask what if's all day long, but that's not what happened!

Um yeah... the state followers are dreaming in lala land in the event that they think of msu will beat michigan. Michigan is having an astonishing season so a ways and that i think they're going to save it going. Msu hasn't spoiled michigan yet, and it wont substitute every time quickly. As for osu, i confident wish so yet maximum probable no longer- yet i visit the michigan vs.osu game and the michigan state game. go BLUE!!!! screw eco-friendly and ohio.
