I will be in Europe for a few months for school. I would like to spend my last week relaxing on the beach (it will be in early June). I have been looking into Santorini. Do you think this is a good choice? Should I stay near kamari or on the cliffs?

I haven't been to Santorini myself yet, but if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing island, I recommend the island of Andros. It has been a couple years since I've been there, but if I remember correctly it is a two hour ferry ride from Rafina. I would recommend staying in the town of Batsi - it has a very nice beach, couple of restaurants, and I think only one or two clubs. The people are extremely nice and the landscape is beautiful. If you're able to travel around the island (there are places to rent scooters), there are many beaches, archaeological sites, waterfalls, etc. to be seen.

Below are a couple of links that should help you out:

Santorini is breathtaking, especially at sunset.
I would stay on the cliffs for the view. It's not a huge island so it won't take much effort to travel around to areas you want to see.

I am also a big fan of the island of Rhodes for the beaches. One side of the island is Mediteranean Sea, the other side is Aegean Sea. There are also lots of little, out of the way beaches that are sheltered from the ferries, etc, especially around Lindos.

Recommend Mirthies and Massouri in Kalymnos. Not real touristy but much less expensive than Santorini, Rhodes, and Kos. You'll love all these places cause they are beautiful, but you will stay a lot longer and a lot cheaper in Kalymnos. I've been there 4 times and am going again. Great People, Great Night life, Great food, Great beaches. Rock climbing, cycling and boating. I stayed at this place:

It is gorgeous! I had the most romantic holidays there. The view is breathtaking! I would recommend you to stay in Φηρα or else Thira which is the capital city of Santorini or another town called Imerovigli which is also magical. Camari has a very beautiful black beach (as it is called) but if you want the view don't stay in Camari. You can stay in another place and get the bus to go to the beaches or rent a car.
Have very nice holidays!
