I think its a Combination on how a person was raised and nature. but I have known a few Gay people who have had no events that may cause them to be gay such as molestation. and use their god given free will to choose the sexuality of their choice.

If sexuality were a choice, you wouldn't see so many gay people. It's hard to imagine multitudes of people purposely choosing a harder life for themselves. I sure as hell wouldn't have chosen this for myself. I was born this way. Do I sometimes wish I could choose to be heterosexual? Sure, but I can't. Most people that are gay have had to endure (at some point) a torturous internal struggle that many heterosexual people may not be able to imagine. This question is insulting to all the homosexual people who have struggled to reconcile themselves to their own sexuality in an intolerant heterosexual-dominated world.

i wish there was a test when a baby is born, a machine could tell you if it's gonna be gay, and if so, give the baby an injection to put it to sleep permanently. That would save alot more lives in the end, because there will be less people to spread aids and STDs.
I think it's also a rebellious choice against family and community.

is there a choice to be straight? no, of course not. it's not light flipping a light switch. you are, or you aren't. we see this question literally dozens of times a day. I still don't understand why some straight people think THEY made no choice to be straight, but we must have made a choice to be gay.

I think it like talent. If you are an athlete you don't just find yourself running you do all the work to make it happen and so do gay and lesbian. I have been disappointed by men soo many times that i thought of being lesbian but believe me the thought of me kissing another woman made me crazy and i never tried it so it doesn't just happen its in you. Otherwise i could be lesbian right now but i ought to be single for the rest of my life.

I believe a person is born with some type of gene that makes them that sort of person. I cant believe it is a choice that a normal man would choose but I could be wrong.

In the old days...
Think of vampires. The 1st Vampires were full blooded (so to speak)... I mean they were pure-bread Vampires. As time went by and hunger increased, they SUCKED the blood out of humans and converted them into Vampires.
Um... ok...
What I mean is that their are gays who carry it in their blood and their are others who CONVERTED to gay-ism.
Think what you want... I'm tired of ridding the world of ignorance.

I think that its a choice issue when it comes to ACTING on those feelings that may not necessarily be your first choice to have but are real and powerful.
Its when you ACT on them that its a choice for sure and when accountability comes to play.
