What will I need to become a good Journalist and an asset to my company?

I am honest and tell it like it is.
What other skills can I pick up to make it impossible for them to reject me.

Im thinking of creative writing and learning how to maintain a new webpage.

Anything else?

A degree is usually a good start.

I would recommend political science with a minor in English.
