Yes, I am under a massive amount of stress. Leapt straight from High School right into University at 17, and about to lose my mind.
I thought I could handle it and was hyped, but this is not the place for me.
I have completed ONE of the TWO semesters for this first year.
Is it any use to do my final exams, or will I just have to do this semester over if I ever decide to come back here?
OR will this semester count, and I'll only have to do the 2nd semester?
Please, I need an answer asap.
(PS: Im in a canadian school)
Thanks!

You should finish out the semester and get the best grades that you can if possible. Whatever grades you get will be on your transcript forever (unless you repeat the class and petition to have the grades replaced).

At the university where I work, if a person just stops coming to class and therefore doesn't complete the work, he/she gets a failing grade.

It might be too late in the semester to officially withdraw from the classes, but you can see if you can do that. Otherwise, just finish the semester out. Your institution will probably let you change the grade if you take the class again. (That is, only your newest grade in the class will count towards your GPA.)

Basically, a failing grade in the class will mean that you won't receive credit for that course. Whether or not you have credit in a course will matter when it's time to graduate, because you will need to have credits in enough classes to complete your major requirements for graduation. If you need the classes you're now taking to graduate, that means that you'll probably have to repeat those classes (assuming you fail them this time). If there's any chance of getting credit for the classes this semester, you'll save the time and expense of having to do them again if you can get a high-enough grade to satisfy whatever requirements you need to satisfy.

I'm sorry your first semester was so rough. You might have a better experience at another school.
