Only some of the plants are coming out with the leaves not being big. Most of the plants are coming out with nice looking leaves but on some the leaves are kind of curled up and scrunched up. If anyone knows why it will be a big help. Thanks

Because most are ok then lack of water is not an issue,I would say they have been damaged some how.The stems are very weak.

Examine the curled leaves. See any bugs?

Potatoes like to be "mounded up" -- like having dirt mounded around the base of the plant. That is where the potatoes are developing. Keep well watered, but not soaking wet.

possible pest problems; check the underside of leaves for spider webbing or cacoons that utilise the leaves as form of protection from predators.
aslo, could simply be a bit of leaf burn from either overexposure(not likely thou) to sunlight.. also could be excess or deficiency of plant nutrients....ensure balanced fertiliser regime.
continual mulching to ensure a raised loose/friable media for the potatoes to grow in.
if you live in a humid area, take care not to water the leaves of an evening in summer, as this will encourage mildew and fungus that can affect the leaves and may even eventually kill the plant.
