Not entirely. People in general don't know what they don't know, but students at least are trying to find out what they don't know. Or this is how it should be, though in fairness most students think they know what you don't, but don't know you know what they're on about.

no that is ignorance. a student is someone wanting to be taught by someone learned. a student is ignorant but being ignorant does not make you a student.

but i think student's definition is-
"someone who is knowing what he doesn't know"
i'm a student and everyday get to know something i didn't know.
