I wouldn't and won't get my kids cars when that time comes. I believe if they work for them and buy them theirselves they will appreciate them and take care of them better. most kids think well mommy and daddy bought it so they can get it fixed. i'm willing to bet if they had to go thru the trouble of working, saving and then ultimately getting the car they want they will love it that much more. Thats how my dad did it to me. and my first car was and still is my favorite.

I feel it is just fine IF that teen is responsible and a sensible driver. I got a 2 year old truck for my 16th, but I was pretty responsible as far as teens go back then. It all depends on the case. A slacker kid that gets bad grades? Nope.
When my kids get their license, I will gladly buy them a nice car I can afford for them if I feel they have earned it in some way or another, and can handle the responsibility of taking care of it.
Not all teens are careless and goofy, so it would depend.

The worthless, slacker kid across the street just got a BMW! I was stunned. He has a rising star sister and she drives a Honda! A BMW?? He's not any smarter than a bag of dog biscuits. How do parents justify this?

THey shouldnt get a BRAND new car thats for sure unless they have really proven themselves as responsible enough. Spoiling them early like this will just make them more needy

it the life of the wethy
if you have money you make life easy for yourself
eg
if a new car breaks down its worrenty
if a old car breaks down you have to pay it
so a new car is good and it make then have a tast for new and nice stuff so they want to be the best to have the best its a race game

If the parents have it like that, no problem! But they should always teach their kids the importance of working for what they want and need without always feeling entitled.

what's wrong with that? if you make good grades you get rewarded. don't be jealous. and newer cars are safer with modern safety technology.
