i always have but Byron M made me think about it.
i usually run them in 'safe mode' which is a no-brainer, but what's the harm in running them all at once?

You shouldn't have any problems running them all at once. Each program will spawn it's own thread and shouldn't affect one another. However, if one program finishes before the other and you remove whatever alerts it presents, this may cause an alert or something in the other programs. Basically each program will simply identify the infected files and report it to you, so its not untill you decide to do something with the report do the waters get dark.

Overall you should be fine. Definately run them in safemode.
