keepsake christmas ornaments that you bought special for the receiver - something that really makes you think of them or that brings back a funny memory or something like that....

monogrammed anything - really lets someone know that you went all out for them especially. for something less expensive monogrammed napkins are a nice gift.

what ages are you looking for? if it was narrowed down i could probably give you some great craft ideas.

I once made a little christmas tree out of

pipe cleaner
a foam core
and a wood base.

I got two bunches of pipe cleaner, one green and one sparkly green, cut them down to varying legnths but keeping it under 4 inches.

I glued the foam core/pillar on the little wood base, painted the base dark brown, and shaved the core to an isocolese triangle. I left it big enough so it could support all the pipe cleaner. Then I stuck the pipe cleaner in, about a quarter inch, till it won't fall out, but leaving enough room for others.

I decorated it with a little string of oragami cranes.
