Call Bellsouth technical support. At this point, it sounds like there might be something wrong with your connection.

Well first thing i would do is check for firmware updates on all of your networking hardware (e.g. router, dsl modem,etc...) The next thing to do is to ensure you have a good phone cable connecting to the modem.

Aside from that, it would really depend... If you have the dsl modem connected directly to the computer make sure the network cable (or usb cable) is in good conditions. On the other hand if you have the dsl modem connected to a router, the question i would ask is, are you losing network connection as well, or is it just internet? If it's network and internet that would lead me to believe it's a problem with the router. If it's just internet your losing...well then it may be the router or it may be the modem. I'd call up your ISP tech support and have them test your line to ensure its clean and in good condition for your dsl service. And maybe even have them replace the modem.

hope this helps...

sometimes is the router, sometimes is your computer, sometimes is the line itself and (ready?) sometimes is your provider. I had Charter cable internet (39.99) and it keep telling me that I did not have internet connection. I felt like I had dial up again. So i got the 14.99 offer from verizon dsl and I had no problems since. So nop it wasnt the router, it wasnt the modem and it wasnt my computer.

Charter support even came and adjusted the dB (decibels) on the signal and that did squat for it.

My suggestion. Call your provider and tell them your problem they should help you free of charge...if not then just get another provider.

How old is the actual phoneline wiring in your place? Call in Bellsouth tech support to check the suitability of wiring.

And I use Bell Canada, I know that there is that little filtering dongle you have to put in front of each phone fax and home security unless they've got those preinstalled.
