they sure look like a championship team. they're one of the few balanced teams in the nfl. great offense and good defense. i mean, they win without shawne merriman and now he's back to wreak havoc. plus they got the most dominating player in the league LT.
Cowboys: they could be the darkhorse to win it, tony romo has proven he's pretty good
Colts: yeah right, teams already know how to beat them...keep running the ball against that awful run defense to keep peyton off the field, which would limit his opportunites. can't throw TDs on the sidelines
Chicago-defense and special teams could win it alone...but grossman and the offense scares me
Baltimore-hmm...
Patriots-i know to never count out Brady and Bilichek in the playoffs, but this isn't their year
Bengals-waited too long to look like last year's Cincy..is the defense a fluke?

I'm with you on San Diego
Marty Schottenheimer has the best squad in pro football today, but even he scares me sometimes. The only way I see this team not winning it all is if the whole team to have their worst day simultaneously. Otherwise I think a mediocre Chargers club could win any day of the week against this competition.

Yes you want to know why? When our defense plays the aggressive style that they played when they had Merriman like in the Colts game then their defense would be similar to applying pressure as the Steelers and Ravens any day. We have Rivers who has learned how to be a late game QB and not fumble it in the red zone anymore. We have Sproles who is very versatile in everything he does. He does not have to rush for 100 yards for us to win he just needs 100 yards overall. The qualifications for the Super Bowl is you don't have to have the best defenses but have a good one and the Chargers do. Look at the past SB champs the Giants had only a good defense, same with the Steelers they only had a good not great, the Colts stepped up and made their defense good in the playoffs on route to winning a title, the Patriots only had a good defense. I think you need a good defense, a decent running game, a good QB to win it all and the Chargers have a good chance as anyone else. For some reason I just don't think we can lose at all, the last few years I had my doubts but this year I don't and if we had Merriman I think we could easily be in the title game. People seem to forget the Chargers were playing that bad pass defense and didn't give the ball to Sproles the first time they played the Steelers and the Steelers had the #1 defense last year and lost to the Jaguars. Defense does win championships and we have one good enough to do just that.

SD has Shottenhiemer he chokes in the playoffs they will be lucky to will one game. Baltimore looks an awful lot like the team they won the superbowl with a few years back exept McNair is a better QB. You are right about the Pats. Indy has the same problem as SD playoffs = choke. Chicago showed early in the season that they are capable of dominating a game even with Grossman. Cincy isn't even going to make playoffs KC and JAC will be wild card. Cowboys probably the most balanced team in nfc and they have a coach that knows how to win.

Its been said already, but Marty can't win in the postseason.
Besides, you shouldn't count your chickens before they're hatched buddy. Denver and KC still have a shot to take that division., especially since KC still has a division game with SD.
