Yes, There is Ruth and another woman...can't remember her name. Anyway, it talked about how deep their love was for each other and that she "enclaved her" which in heterosexual terms is sex. Many fundies choose to ignore the homo relations in the bible and do searching of what each of the passages came from. Also, there was 2 male/male relationships in the bible.
Soddom and Gommarah was not about homosexuals, DUH!

Actually lesbianism is not mentioned in the Bible at all although male homosexuality is mentioned.

Genesis 19:4,5 Leviticus 18:22 Romans 1:24
Romans 1:26 (wonder what that is about) Romans 1:27 1 Corinthians 6:10 1Timothy 1:9&10 2 Peter 2:6 Jude 1:7

I find nothing in the Bible tht approves Lesbian activities.

The verse in the Bible in Romans 1 does speak of women that are engaging in those acts, but that was a certain group at a certain time. There are Lesbian Christians here at times who do not worship the creature instead of the creation, as Paul was talking about. I myself am a Bi-Sexual male Christian. So if youwant my take on this from what I get from the Bible, the only approved relationship by the God is the marriage from a man and a woman.
That is not saying that those that are engaging in other types of sexual relationships cannot be Christian. A Christian is a Christian because of trust in God through Jesus Christ.

I hope that helps you.

There are no clear words in the Bible that speaks directly about Lesbians or Gays as a person. What I read in the Bible (sorry cant recall which passage in the Bible) it prohibits a man to have intercourse with another man or a woman with another woman. However this is the controversy.... It only states the ACT and not the PERSON itself. That is why recently the American Catholic Bishops made a statement that Homosexuals are acceptable to the Church unless they remain celebate (no sex). They condemn the ACT but not the PERSON. Read Yahoo news article about it. Click link below

Ruth and Naomi? It is late and I'm very tired, so it's possible that I am getting the names wrong. But it reads like they were lovers, even though there were men in the picture.

It does condemn 'unnatural acts' for women somewhere, but I forget where it is. Somewhere in the New Testament. Plus, I don't think it was specifically condemning female homosexuality, but most people would read it that way.

Be well.

edited to add:

The sin of the people of Sodom and Gomorah is very clearly what my old sunday school teacher called 'inhospitality'. For those who are mentioning Sodom in this thread, go back and read genesis. The men of the city wanted to RAPE the visitors, not have consensual sex with them.

Also, the word 'gay' refers to all homosexuals, not just men. I would like to slap the a s s that popularized the use of the term 'lesbian'. It just sounds icky, for Pete's sake!

What does the Bible say about homosexuality?

Romans1:24-27: "God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them...God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error."

1Corinthians 6:9-11: "Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men... will inherit God's kingdom.

I don't know if there were lesbians but one thing is certain, homosexuality is forbidden.

Good question by the way.
