The show was losing viewers and wasn't performing how the network wanted it to, so t was axed. Some other really good (but perhaps "under performing") shows cancelled at the same time were American Dreams, Third Watch, and Judging Amy.

As far as I can recall, the plot began to get considerably darker and more complicated. Thus the ratings dropped.

i dont know. it was on & everybody seemed 2 like it. even the critics, & then POOF! it was gone. no explanation or anything. i think some chruch group did'nt like it. i don't know y. i thought it was very well written.
