Personally I see Open Mindedness as Naivete' to some extent, while Broad Mindedness is more aware of the world around them and the differences of individuals and cultural groups.

They are both pretty much the same. I personally see broad mindedness as being more limiting than open mindedness. If feel that an open minded person is more expansive of wonder and thought . . . color outside the lines, think outside the box.

Broadmindedness -
is based on tolerance. Wisdom will say, "Let justice be done," yet will not dictate the verdict, for wisdom understands the complexity of the conditions required for justice. Wisdom will sense the right time and will not force events. Wisdom realizes that every event involves all nations.

open-mindedness
Ready acceptance of often new suggestions, ideas, influences, or opinions: openness, receptiveness, receptivity, responsiveness.

Broad-minded - Accepting of gay people. When advertising for a flatmate, people will say 'broad-minded' to mean 'gay tolerant'.

Open minded just means accepting in general to new ideas sexually.

Here is what the dictionary has to say about this:

broad-minded:
Free from prejudice or bigotry; unbiased; liberal; tolerant.
Inclined to respect views and beliefs that differ from your own.
Having or characterized by tolerant or liberal views.

open-minded:
Having or showing a mind receptive to new ideas or arguments.
Unprejudiced; unbigoted; impartial.
Ready to entertain new ideas.

So they are not exactly the same, but similar.

How would you respond to this? I am able to review a lot of different issues, and possibly, be well informed about a lot of them.

On the other hand, on issues that I feel very strong about, I accept only the views that parallel my feelings.

How would you apply the answers of your question to me.
