Most people don't think about this subject much. It's their loss. Or is it mine? If I died, would I be ready? I really hope so. I talk to my Savior every day and pray for forgiveness and for Grace to carry me through each day. God Bless The Children of Peace. That's what I call em, for the Lord will keep in perfect peace all those whose minds are stayed on Him.

People assume that the recently departed has gone to Heaven because it gives them comfort as they mourn the loss.No one in this world is perfect,so when confronted with their own mortality,a lot of people also project and or rationalize they own life and deeds, which I suppose scares them and so they subconsciously start trying to fix their own karma by overcompensating with niceness and or pleasantries about the deceased person because for a brief moment they are connected by the living persons fear.See,Hear Speak no EVIL.So really in a sense it's really not about the dead but the foolish living person and thier fears that makes the dillusional assumption that the rececantly, dearly departed has gone to Heaven.Just a thought...See you up there someday-I'll be the guy wearing a white Prada toga with wings, floating on a fluffy cloud playing a harp-you won't be able to miss me so be sure to say wassup dude1Aw'ight-but till then take care and behave or you're going to Hell!!!(theehehe)peace.Riz>.

i've got been a believing Christian because of the fact that 1964 and a Bible instructor because of the fact that 1988. individually, i've got self assurance that some thing brought about that person to doubt his/her salvation. that would not condemn somebody to hell. Many Christians (maximum?) have doubted sometime of their religious existence. Salvation is unlike Mr. Rogers' sweater to be positioned on and further off. If one incredibly believed at one time of their existence, then that person is incredibly and ceaselessly saved. while i grow to be saved, i began out residing a Christian existence, yet some years later, I have been given removed from people who stimulated my Christian existence and have been given in with people who have been a detrimental impression. on an identical time as I nevertheless believed i grow to be saved, i did not stay like i grow to be. that isn't the comparable component as not believing, whether it has the comparable result on salvation: NONE. as quickly as you're saved, you're continuously saved. no one incredibly is generally happening with who's and who can not heaven. in simple terms God does. Even people who think of they are saved might discover out they in no way incredibly made a real dedication to Christ as Savior. to truly answer your question: no one is generally happening with for particular, however the Bible factors to what I reported earlier; as quickly as saved, saved ceaselessly.

Plain aqnd simple people have selective tunnel vison. When someone is alive, no one really thinks about death and most of the time it never comes to mind when they are mad or what ever at that person and name calling, back stabbing, fighting or what ever BUT as soon as that same person you just called a "no good for not B****** who never did this or that" is gone for good all of a sudden he was the most wonderful person in the world, he deserved a medal for being a saint. No one gos to a funneral to talk crap about someone. It is human guilt that does it. In your mind you treated that person bad. maybe just mentally you thought really badthings about him or told a friend over lunch how you really feel about him. And then he is dead and your mind starts to second guess its self, maybe I was wrong, maybe he really wasn't so bad. But the biggest one is "That could be me right there" death bring peoples oun mortality more in to focus. So to ease guilty minds everyone stands around a wooden box and talks about how wonderful this person was and how everyone hopes he is resting in peace with god. That is the biggest faults in humans emotional over flow.

Your question is not worded right. Which I am sure is intentional in your part. The info you provide is not in the Bible. When a person's body dies they change into their spirit form. Some of this spirits stay on earth and wait for their loved ones. This I know from personal experience. What happens after that I do not know. In my opinion if God is allowing a spirit to wait for their loved ones, they are not going to hell.

Well they naturally assume that whoever the person was (friend or relative) was good enough a person to wind up in Heaven.

I would say because it is a more comforting thought, most of us would like to believe we are going to heaven, plus it is a nicer thought for the ones left behind, to think their loved ones is in heaven.

I think it has to do with everybody assuming they're going to heaven and they'll be able to meet up with loved ones on the "other side"

Funerals/memorial services are for those remaining alive (the deceased has no idea what's being said about him/her!). As a gesture of decency toward those who are grieving, we publicly assume the best of the deceased.
