There's so much rubbish floating around, generic branded candy pop masquerading as something different. These chumps with number one singles these days haven't got as much talent as Jimi Hendrix had in his left foot. What do y'all think of that? And does that just make the good stuff that much better?

It sure doesn't seem like they know what good music is. Most of the "stuff" (the other word I was going to use would get censored) I hear on the radio now is nothing but cookie cutter music. One group gets a hit so everyone tries to copy that style. That's a big reason I never got into the '80s hair bands. They all sound the same.
Give me Hendrix, Zeppelin, or Sabbath. I will agree, though, that there is some good new stuff coming out in the indie scene. But in the mainstream, forget it.

Hit the alternative/indie rock scene. There is a lot of good underground bands.

I'm tired of hearing people refer to the classic rock I listen to as, "hey, that's that one song from that car commercial!" I could hit them... And whenever I see the kids at school wearing those band t-shirts (all my favorites- beatles, the who, rolling stones, etc.) and I am so excited to find somebody who shares my taste in music all I get as a reply is, "huh? what the who?" arg...

Of corse! Who doesn't?!?! lol acctually a lot of people don't, but I think I do. lol I love Cobra Starship! You should look them up if you need good music, that's just one of the few bands that are awsome! They are also awsome live, oh and the lead singer, Gabe, is way awsome, he's so nice! there aint much for good music any where but i still find myself listening to stuff that aint the best. best band lateley is revis and they split up in 2003 i think
