I'm not a Clay Aiken fan and I don't dislike him either, but I feel as though he was wrong for putting his hand over Kelly's mouth. You just don't do that to people you don't know. She didn't know where his hand had been and anything could've happened. He could've had something on his hand that could've broke her face out or something. Was it something that could've been dealt with off the air? Yes. Did she overreact a little bit? Maybe, but to be honest, I probably would've went off on him, too, I don't care who he is.

I agree with her! Number 1 its just plain rude to put your hand over someones mouth, i dont even do that to my 3yro, besides she's right she doesnt know where his hand has been wheather it was shaking hands with people in the audience or doing other things with it. He better be glad he did it to her and not OPRAH!lol

I think she did overreact a little bit. I mean going this far for this long. Regis basically does the same thing but doesn't go as far as putting a hand over her mouth. She talks to much and if she would have let Clay have a word in edge wise he wouldn't have did that to her.

i think kelly ripa's first instinct to take clay's hand away from her face may have come off as a little rude, but it seemed that clay's action was equally as rude. so i dont think she was necessarily in the wrong.

the person who was wrong was rosie o'donnell on an episode of the view shortly thereafter, calling kelly's action homophobic. rosie was definitely out of line there. not everything in this country is about homosexuals.

I wouldn't want someones hand over my face either so I can understand why she would be mad. I think before the show they should have discussed who would ask what questions. I didn't see the show but I heard she was talking way too much and he wasn't able to get a word in. I don't think that was fair either. Maybe they both should apologize to each other.

I definitely agree with Kelly...I don't like anybody to touch my face and I do not believe that she made a homophobic remark. Rosie way over reacted. However, she might have done better to reprimand him off the air, but she wasn't wrong to say something in any case.

Heck, my whole family just suddenly came down with a horrible stomach bug and lord knows where we got it from...not from letting anyone touch our faces, thats for sure! :)

i agree with her too. this time of year i hate having people put their hands around my face of my food when i don't know where they have been, or if they have a cold or something. he could have coughed or sneezed into that hand, she didn't know. and with kids at home that could get sick easily i don't blame her at all! besides the space around my head is my bubble and i don't like it when that bubble is broken.

despite the "I don't know where his hands have been" it was rude and disrespectful to do that to her. she is a woman and she is some one older and that would be embarrassing to have some one put their hand over your mouth as though you're a child. she had every right to be mad or whatever.
