Why do people always refer to a "mothers love", why not ever a "fathers love" ?
Dont fathers love their children just as much?
Is it just a figure of speech or is it literal?

You're right. It is unfair. I have heard about people referring to a father's love, but you hear it a lot less.

Traditionally, it's the mother that does the raising of the children.

from all that i've learnt so far in life.......
nobody loves nobody.......
nobody caresfor nobody.......
not even our parents......
almost everybody has some hatred or some bad feelings for us...
but not our parents.....
especially not our mothers.....
.........
mothers are able to express thier love in a better way compared to fathers.........
that is why we call it mother's love and not father's

thats my inference.....
it may change from person to person.

yeah its wrong i think, but there is the saying, daddy's little girl, i think thats as close as it gets. i think its just that in the chovinistic past, men usually werent that involved in their offspring, only disciplining, but now, with more divorces etc...men are becoming more soft...which i think is good, men and women should be learning from each other, women more stronger and men more softer...we both have different qualities, we should learn to share :)
