I have been told by part suppliers that the disk brake kits only fit 1/2 ton not 3/4 truck,is there a way to put disk on front of my truck?

they are correct but you might want to check like bear brakes or check with summit or jegs. the easiest way for me to recommend is to switch over to one ton axles and then they have kits for that. if your axles are original this is what i would recommend. had the same issue with a 60 panel van and changed it to 1 ton axles and had disc up front and drum in the rear. now if you do something like this make sure you get everything associated with the brakes from the donor truck. i.e. master cylinder, power boster, perportioning valve and so on. if you go aftermarket they should have a kit for you but get out the checkbook....hope this helps

you can look for an after market break parts dealer, or a front end and susspension dealer . or you can subframe the front end of A newer car like an early 70"s camaro....this means cut off the front section of yor frame and weld on the front sub frame that already has disk brakes.
