taking into account that roast pork, beef, lamb, etc tastes pretty good, does it not stand to reason that human flesh would also be rather tasty when cooked.
Please note - this is not a question posing a moral / ethical dilemma or condoning cannibalism - just want to know what your thoughts are based on your knowledge of other cooked meats

I remember reading, i think it might have been about that soccer team that crashed in the Andes, where the survivors ate the dead to survive. I'm pretty sure it was them, it was a long time ago, but for some reason the one thing that stuck with me from it is one of the survivors discussing eating human flesh, and he said it tasted like pork. Which i thought was funny because people usually say things taste like chicken. But anyway, i think it's because humans (ourselves excluded of course) are quite similar to pigs, both omnivores, similar size and make up, although some of us resemble them more than others.. I wonder if apple sauce would be nice with human..
I'm not sure which which cuts of the human would be best, probably thighs and buttocks would have most meat, not sure how tender or tasty or fatty each area would be. Perhaps there is a cannibal on Y!A who could help us out. I do remember the movie of the Andes soccer team, they ate the buttocks..
Speaking of cannibals, did you hear about the one that ate a clown, he thought it tasted a bit funny....... boom boom.... I'm here all week... Try the human...
Good question..

One wouldnt have such interesting knowledge unless they have actually tasted bbq human spare ribs. Are u hoping a cannibal on Yahoo! A would give u an answer about this? Im sure roasted cat, barbequed dog, grilled hamsters, double boiled monkey brain and deep fried rabbit thighs would be yummy too. Just depends on the chef really. Yucks.

Well, I think this question is posted in the wrong forum, but we'll over look that for now.
What would human flesh taste like if it was properly cooked? That would depend on who you chopped up. If you cut up some obese, grease ball, couch potato...I would guess it would be tender, but very greasy. You chop up a pro body builder, you'd have a lot of dark meat.
I suppose it would be rather tasty, or there would be no temptation. That's how these things work.
best wishes.

I would guess it would be good, since our closest organ and genetic make up animal is the pig (skin organ and tissue wise- i know about the monkeys etc that is not in question if you dont believe me read up folks) I can only assume that we would be pretty taste maybe even produce better crackling than a good bit of pork.
I have eaten some weird animals living in remote aboriginal and islander comunities but in all cases I have to admit they all tasted good with the possible exception of turtle which was a little strange for my liking...
I am curious why you were thinking about this?

Supposedly it tastes like chicken, then again most thinks taste like chicken except chicken. If you were to read accounts of people trapped in situations where they resorted to cannibalism you might find out from people that actually have eaten human flesh. I think that it would taste okay.

I have wondered the same thing.. but I bet we would be tough and gamey...
I mean there aren't any good bits.... like a tenderloin or anything...
I have to suspect that if we tasted very good that cannibalism would be a lot more common.
Although I suppose that with enough marinade....

a chef in england (I believe) recently developed a food that has the same texture and thickness as human flesh, some people actually said it tasted a little....odd.
