There are too many differences in chiropractors to list. Yes as with any profession you have your good and bad, some adjust better than others. You may be more sore immediately following and adjustment, but within minutes the pain is less than before the adjustment. Also within the profession different chiropractors practice differently, some adjust just the top two bones in your neck others adjust all areas of the spine, it depends on your needs.

Some are better than others. Also, keep in mind that if you are not use to "getting cracked" that you will probably be sore anyway. It takes time for those muscles to get used to being manipulated like that. After a while going to the chiropractor should be fairly relaxing and you should feel better walking out than you did walking in. It can be addictive if you have a good chiropractor. I started out seeing mine 2 times a week for a curvature in my spine and kept up maintenance visits every 6-8 weeks once the curvature was fixed.

There can be a huge difference. I have been to the "conventional" chiropractors, where they do the adjustment that can make you feel a little "beat up"afterward. I am having far more luck now that I go see a Morter chiropractor. They use pressure points and strength testing to adjust you and you KEEP in alignment. I'd suggest you try to find a D.C. in your area that practices that type of medicine. www.morter.com

It works for some people and not other, I have been to see them in France UK and US.
What happed with me is I feel better when I first use one then the subsequent visits ar less effective.
Same is true of LPG which seems effective in the medium term.
Look for one who has been around a while and is hard to get an appointment with.

Yes. Just like in any profession, there are good ones, bad ones, and just plain average ones. I've been to a bad one who did me more harm than good, then a good one recommended to me, who helped me a lot.

Avoid the ones who cold call you after an accident. Ask around for recommendations.
